Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (IR RN Days)
Location: Tulsa, Oklahoma
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Work in the Interventional Radiology (IR) department with 3 labs, including neuro intervention for stroke LVO.
- Monitor conscious sedation during MRI, CT, US, and IR cases.
- Rotate on-call for emergent after-hours cases.
- On-call required every 6th weekend during the contract.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse in the specialty.
- First-time travelers are welcome (prior travel experience NOT required).
Certifications Required
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
Additional certifications may be required as applicable:
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure)
- CHEMO (Chemotherapy)
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
- Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB)
- NIH Stroke Certification
- CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute)
Competencies
- Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (80% score or meet/exceed Angoff score)
- Color Blind Testing (online version acceptable)
- Competency Exam (minimum passing score 80% or higher if Angoff score is higher)
- Annual Core Testing for agency/substitute staff
Health & Safety Requirements
- Physical Exam within 12 months of start
- Fit Mask Test within 1 year of start (annual renewal required)
- Adult TDAP vaccine within 10 years
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
- TB Questionnaire (if applicable)
- Proof of immunity or vaccination for:
- Rubeola (Measles)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Hepatitis B
- Varicella
- Negative 10 Panel Drug Screen within 90 days of start
- Seasonal Flu Vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption (required during flu season)
- COVID-19 Vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption (declinations not accepted)
Background & Verification
- 7-year background check within 1 year of start, updated annually
- Education verification (highest level) required
- Work history verification for 7 years
- State license primary source verification (NURSYS verification for RN)
- Various federal and state checks (EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG)
Additional Information

- Unit-specific skills checklist required annually
