Physical Therapist (PT) - Temp Position

Location: Snyder, Texas
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Accurately assess and diagnose patient mobility and functional deficits.
• Develop individualized treatment plans with patient-centered goals to reduce pain, restore function, and prevent disability.
• Perform patient evaluations including history, systems review, and specific tests/measures.
• Establish and implement plans of care in accordance with physician orders.
• Conduct ongoing reassessments and manage discharge planning from the first visit onward.
• Supervise and delegate tasks to ancillary staff and students per state laws and policies.
• Complete clear, accurate documentation within required timeframes and compliance standards.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, caregivers, and healthcare team members using AIDET principles.
• Assess and provide education to meet patient and caregiver needs.
• Participate in professional development and quality improvement activities.
• Maintain a safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
• Function within the scope of practice as defined by Texas state law.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of PT experience in a Long-Term Care (LTC) setting (highest required experience).
• Valid Texas or compact PT license.
• Prior travel experience is not specified as required.
