Description
Special Procedures Tech - Travel Position
Location: Fort Worth, Texas
Contract Length: 14 weeks
Unit Information
- Department: Interventional Radiology
- Number of Beds: 365
- Staff on Unit: 7
- Shift Type: Day shift plus call (10-14 call days per month)
- Patient Ratio: 1 patient per procedure
- Equipment: Phillips
- EMR System: Meditech
Required Skills and Experience
- Minimum 1 year of experience in Interventional Radiology (Neuro Interventional Radiology experience preferred; willing to train if no neuro experience)
- Must have ARRT and BLS certifications
- Able to work in a fast-paced, constantly changing lab environment
- Team player
Preferred Skills
- ACLS certification
- Vascular Interventional Lab (VIL) experience
Typical Procedures
- Neuro: Strokes, Aneurysm Coilings, Tumor Embolizations, Diagnostic Cerebral Angiograms
- Body: Line placements, Embolizations, Thrombectomies, Kyphoplasty, Cryoablations, G-tubes, Nephrostomy Tube Placements, Angiograms, Venograms, AVF Declots
Work Environment
- Scrub color/attire: OR scrubs provided
- Call: 10-14 call days per month, call starts immediately after shift ends
- No floating to other areas
Certifications Required
- ARRT
- BLS
