• Unit: Emergency Department (Main ED and PBED)
• Unit Size: 37 beds, Level 2 Trauma
• Staffing:

  • Day Shift: 1 charge nurse, 7 RNs, 2 techs/paramedics, 5 mid-shift RNs, 2 mid-shift techs
  • Night Shift: 1 charge nurse, 7 RNs, 2 techs/paramedics, 5 mid-shift RNs, 2 mid-shift techs
• Patient Ratios: 1:4 in zone
• Equipment: GE Monitors
• EMR System: MediTech

Required Qualifications

• Licenses: Registered Nurse License
• Certifications:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
  • TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
  • NIH Certification
• Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in Emergency Nursing specialty (highest required)
• Prior Travel Experience: Not specified (assumed not required)

• Floating Area: ED patients admitted to hospital holding in ED
