Description
Job Opportunity: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics (Travel/Contract)
Location: Washington, District of Columbia
Contract Length: 13 weeks (approximately 3 months)
Schedule: 3x12 shifts, 0700-1930, every other weekend required

Position Details
- Role: Respiratory Therapist (RRT or CRT accepted)
- Licensure: State license required
- Certifications Required:
- BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA or ARC
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - Please review unit details
- Experience Required: Minimum 2 years in specialty
- Prior Travel Experience: Not required (first-time travelers accepted)
- Additional Requirements:
- No call or float requirement
- Locals within 60 miles accepted at a lower rate
Required Documentation & Compliance
- Background Checks:
- Criminal background check within 90 days, including all locations lived/worked/schooled in past 7 years
- SSN Trace, Federal, Statewide, County searches as applicable
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks prior to start and monthly thereafter
- Health Requirements:
- Annual physical exam confirming ability to work without accommodations and free from communicable disease
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within the past year (with follow-up if history of positive TB)
- Immunizations or titers for Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR), Varicella, Hepatitis B
- Tdap vaccine within 10 years preferred
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season
- Drug screen within 90 days of start (excluding marijuana), updated annually
- N95 Fit Test within 9 months of start, updated annually (client may complete onsite if needed)
- References: Two positive supervisory references supporting at least 2 years of experience within the last 3 years
- Work History: Complete 7 years of work history with no gaps, including education, employment, licenses, and contact information
Competency & Training Requirements
- Medication/Pharmacology competency exam (must score 80% or higher within 3 years)
- Color Blind Testing (online or in-person)
- Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam (for applicable units) with specific scoring requirements and remediation process
- Facility-specific orientation and safety manual acknowledgment (annual)
- Completion of facility modules (SITELS) prior to hire date
Notes
- This position accepts both RRT and CRT credentials.
- Prior travel experience is not required; first-time travelers are welcome.
- Every other weekend work is required; no call or float duties.
- Locals within 60 miles may be eligible for different pay rates.
