Job Opportunity: Rehabilitation Therapy (Physical Therapist)

Location: Waimea, Hawaii
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Provide physical therapy evaluations and treatments.
• Work settings include:

  • Inpatient (25%): acute care, ICU, SNF (Skilled Nursing Facility)
  • Outpatient (75%)
• Responsibilities include:

  • Managing outpatient diagnoses independently in a rural setting.
  • Mobility progression from acute to SNF inpatient care.
  • Discharge planning knowledge required.
  • Work in ER, ICU, Med/Surg (Acute, Observation, SNF), occasionally OB, and hospital-based outpatient PT clinic.
• Schedule: Mix of inpatients and outpatients every 30-45 minutes; new evaluations take about 1 hour. Caseload ranges from 5 to 15 patients per day.
• Must obtain Hawaii PT license as soon as possible.
