Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Opportunity
Location: Huntington, West Virginia
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Work Schedule
- 2-12 hour shifts or 2-8 hour shifts
- 12-hour shift availability options: 6:45am-7:15pm, 8:45am-9:15pm, 10:45am-11:15pm
- 8-hour shift availability options: 6:45am-3:15pm, 8:45am-7:15pm, 2:45pm-11:15pm
- Work every other weekend, usually Saturday
- No call required
Job Requirements
- Must have WV or Compact RN license at time of submission (no temporary or pending licenses accepted)
- BLS certification required
- Scrub preferred, circulate required
- Ability to function in multiple service areas including Trauma, Cardiovascular Thoracic (CVT), Neurosurgery, Orthopedics, Cataracts, ENT, etc.
Experience

- Background checks including 7-year criminal check, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG within specified timeframes
- Education verification and transcript/diploma required for new candidates
Health & Immunization Requirements
- Physical exam (initial and annual) attesting ability to meet physical demands
- Immunizations and titers required or documentation of vaccination/declination for:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years; medical/religious exemptions only)
- TB screening (negative test or chest X-ray, updated annually)
- Measles (Rubeola)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Hepatitis A, B, C
- Varicella
- Seasonal Flu vaccine (required annually; medical/religious exemptions require approval)
- COVID-19 seasonal vaccine (required; declination form required if opting out)
- Drug testing required within 30 days of start and annually thereafter
Documentation & Compliance
- Government-issued photo ID required and must be carried during work hours
- Completion of facility-specific new hire forms, confidentiality agreements, standards of behavior, IT access, OSHA post-test, voluntary self-identification, COVID forms, and vaccine exemption/declination forms as applicable
- Proof of 2 clinical references or hospital evaluations
- Skills checklist and competency exams required and must be updated annually
- Performance evaluations required if previously worked with the system over 1 or 2 years
