Job Opportunity: Surgical Technologist (Travel/Contract)

Job Description

• Full-time position, 64 hours every two weeks
• Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM (4x8 hour shifts)
• Rotating call: 1-3 nights per week on call, including rotating holidays and weekends (every 3rd weekend call)
• Respond to on-call situations within 30 minutes
• Assist surgical team before, during, and after surgery
• Prepare operating rooms for various surgeries and procedures
• Track inventory of surgical materials and tools to ensure patient safety
• Collaborate closely with physicians, CRNAs, registered nurses, and other surgical personnel

Qualifications

• Successful completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist program
• Surgical Technologist Certification required
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider card required
• Must be able to respond within 30 minutes to on-call situations

Certifications & Compliance Requirements

• TB screening per Minnesota state guidelines (2-step PPD or equivalent)
• MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or titer proof required
• Hepatitis B vaccination, positive titer, or declination required
• Varicella vaccination or titer proof required
• Drug testing within 1 year of start
• Seasonal flu vaccination or declination required during flu season (10/1-3/31)

Additional Requirements

• Must complete Minnesota DHS Net Study Questionnaire immediately after signing contract
• Must complete facility-specific education modules (approx. 16 hours) during orientation
• Dress code adherence required (scrubs as specified)
• Candidates must leave/return badges to manager on last day of assignment
• Confidentiality agreement must be signed prior to start
