Diagnostic Imaging Contract Position - Hilo, Hawaii

Job Overview

Job Duties

• Perform a variety of ultrasound procedures including:

  • Abdomen (Aorta, IVC, Liver/Biliary, Pancreas, Spleen, Renal; normal and pathology)
  • Gynecological (breast, ovaries, adnexa, uterus, pelvis; normal, pathology, post-menopausal, transvaginal, adult and pediatric)
  • Obstetrics (1st, 2nd, and 3rd trimester; amniocentesis; complications; biophysical profile; gestational age; placental grading; abnormalities; IUGR; uterus/adnexa)
  • Procedures such as aspirations, biopsies, drainage, and intraoperative ultrasounds
  • Neonatal (congenital anomalies, neonatal head)
  • Superficial structures (abdominal wall, breast, focal masses, hematoma, scrotum & testes, thyroid)
  • Vascular (carotid duplex, segmental pressure studies, upper and lower extremity venous and arterial duplex)

• Equipment used includes Canon i700 ultrasound machines, Meditech EMR, and Fuji Synapse PACS.

Required Experience & Skills

• Minimum 3 years of experience in an acute hospital setting
• Competency to proficient level in the listed ultrasound procedures

Licensure & Certifications

• ARDMS certifications required:

  • Abdomen (AB)
  • Obstetrics (OB)
  • Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT)
• Active BLS certification (AHA Certified)

Schedule & Other Requirements

• 40-hour work week with call as appropriate
• Floating to other units/departments may be required
• Dress code: Personal scrubs or healthcare professional attire
• Must arrive the Thursday before the start date for an employee health appointment on Friday
