Description
Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)
Location: Baltimore, Maryland
Specialty: Registered Nurse (ED Boarder RN - MS/Tele & Cardiac Tele)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Work in MS/Tele and Cardiac Tele units
- Schedule: 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (1900-0730)
- Every 3rd weekend required
- Float to MS and MS/Tele units as needed
- One major holiday per contract required
Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of MS/Tele and Cardiac Tele nursing experience (highest required)
- Certifications:
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- Must successfully pass the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with:
- Minimum overall score of 80%
- 100% score on lethal rhythms section
- First-time travelers accepted (prior travel experience not required)
Compliance & Documentation
- Criminal background check within 90 days, including multi-state searches
- Education verification as required by position
- Valid state nursing license required prior to start
- Drug screen within 90 days of start (excluding marijuana)
- Annual physical exam confirming ability to work without accommodations and free from communicable disease
- Immunizations and health documentation required:
- Tdap vaccine within 10 years preferred
- Negative TB test or chest x-ray within required timeframe
- Documentation of MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccines or positive titers
- Hepatitis B titer, series, or signed declination
- Varicella vaccines or positive titer
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption during flu season
- N95 Fit Test within 9 months of start, updated annually (client may complete onsite if needed)
Competency Exams & Training
- Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (must score 80% or higher) within 3 years of start
- Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam (Relias Dysrhythmia Basics A exam) required annually with specific scoring criteria
- Color Blind Testing (online or in-person) required
- Facility-specific orientation and safety manual acknowledgment required annually
- Completion of facility modules (SITELS) prior to start date
Additional Notes
- Two positive supervisory references required, supporting at least 2 years of experience within the last 3 years
- Complete 7 years of work history with no gaps, including education and license information
- Valid driver's license required if driving is an essential job function
