Description

Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)

Location: Clinton, Maryland
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Details

  • Position: IMC Registered Nurse
  • Shift: 3x12 hour day/night rotating shifts (0700-1930 & 1900-0730)
  • Schedule: Every other weekend required
  • Float: ICU and Med Surg as needed

Requirements

  • Specialty: Registered Nurse with MS/Tele and Cardiac Tele experience
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required (highest requirement)
  • Prior Travel Experience: Not required (first-time travelers accepted)
  • Certifications:
    • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
    • BLS (Basic Life Support)
    • NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)
  • Must successfully pass the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with:
    • Minimum overall score of 80%
    • 100% score on lethal rhythms section
  • Two positive supervisory references supporting at least 2 years of experience within the last 3 years
  • Complete 7 years of work history with no gaps, including education, employment, license, and contact information

Competencies & Exams

  • Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam (Relias Dysrhythmia: Basics A) required within 1 year of start and updated annually
  • Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (minimum 80% score) within 3 years of start
  • Color Blind Testing (online or in-person) required
  • Competency Exam (minimum 80% score) within 3 years of start

Background & Health Requirements

  • Criminal Background Check within 90 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked/schooled in past 7 years
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required prior to start and monthly thereafter
  • Education verification of highest degree required by position
  • Drug Screen within 90 days of start (excluding marijuana), updated annually
  • Annual physical exam confirming ability to work without accommodations and free from communicable disease
  • Immunizations and documentation required:
    • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years preferred)
    • Negative TB test or chest X-ray (within 1 year, updated annually)
    • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer documentation
    • Hepatitis B titer, series, or signed declination
    • Varicella vaccination or positive titer documentation
    • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption during flu season (09/23 - 03/31)

Licenses & Documentation

  • Valid state nursing license required prior to start
  • I9 and E-Verify attestation required upon hire
  • Valid driver's license required if driving is an essential job function
  • Photo for badge with specific requirements (clear, centered, no glare, solid background)
  • Completion of facility-specific modules (SITELS) prior to start

Additional Information

  • Float to ICU and Med Surg units as needed
  • Prior travel experience is not required for this position
  • Candidates must be prepared to complete all required certifications, exams, and background checks before start date

This position offers an opportunity for registered nurses with MS/Tele and Cardiac Tele experience to work a 13-week travel contract in Maryland with rotating 12-hour shifts and a supportive team environment.
