Job Opportunity: Physical Therapist (Rehabilitation Therapy)
Location: Davenport, Washington
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Qualifications
- Education: Master's Degree from an accredited physical therapy program
- Experience: Experience working directly with patients in a long-term care or hospital setting
- Licenses/Certifications:
- Current Physical Therapist state license
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire
Job Summary
A Physical Therapist plans and executes rehabilitation programs to help patients regain physical function after accidents, surgeries, or manage pain from degenerative or terminal conditions. The role involves physical activity, reflexology, massage, and muscular/skeletal manipulation. Collaboration with speech therapists and other physical therapists is essential. The patient population is approximately 90% outpatient and 10% inpatient.
Responsibilities
- Consult with patients to assess physical condition, symptoms, and review medical history
- Diagnose movement dysfunction through observation and patient interaction
- Develop individualized treatment plans
- Coach patients and teach therapeutic exercises and stretches
- Use hands-on therapy such as massage to ease pain and promote healing
- Maintain detailed records of patient conditions, care plans, therapies, and progress
- Report patient progress to family members, providers, and patient care committees
- Maintain confidentiality and professional communication with patients, families, and healthcare team members
- Collaborate effectively with other care providers and participate in teamwork
- Attend in-services, continuing education, and staff meetings for professional development

Experience Requirements
- Specialty Experience: At least 1 year of experience working directly with patients in long-term care or hospital settings
- Prior Travel Experience: Not specified / not required

- 90% outpatient care, 10% inpatient care
