Nursing Contract Opportunity - Arizona, Tuba City

Position Details

Facility & Community Overview

Serves a large, culturally rich area including Navajo, Hopi, and Southern Paiute tribes.
Hospital bed capacity: 73
Provides comprehensive inpatient/outpatient emergency services, dental, ophthalmology, orthopedics, OB/GYN, oral surgery, eye surgery, and urological procedures.
Approximately 49% of surgeries are outpatient/ambulatory.
Diverse staff including various medical and dental specialists and nursing roles.

Job Description

Perform a variety of nursing care procedures requiring professional knowledge.
Ability to work independently following physician orders, standards of care, nursing policies, and hospital policies.
Provide nursing support to individuals of all ages and their families.

Licensure

RN license from any state is acceptable (Arizona state license not required).

Certifications Required (Must Maintain Throughout Employment)

Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Heart Association
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) - American Heart Association
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) - American Heart Association
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) - within 1 year of hire
Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) - within 1 year of hire
Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC) - within 1 year of hire
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) - within 6 months of hire
Emergency Severity Index Level 5 - within 3 months of hire
Patient Sitter Competency Training - upon hire

Experience Requirements

Minimum 3 years of nursing experience (specialty years of experience)

Additional Information

Orientation occurs every 2 weeks.
COVID & Flu vaccination exemptions may be accepted after submitting a declination form.
Limited housing options available: shared housing units at $600/month, no family or pets allowed.
Housing application must be submitted 2 weeks prior to start.
