Job Opportunity: OR Registered Nurse (Circulating Nurse)

Location: Minot, North Dakota

Job Description

• Function as a circulating nurse in the Operating Room (OR) under the direction of surgical leadership.
• Responsible for patient safety during pre-op, intra-op, and post-op phases.
• Deliver patient care following AORN Standards, Recommended Practices, and Guidelines.
• Work collaboratively as part of the surgical team.

Schedule

• Shifts vary: 05:45-14:15, 06:00-14:30, 08:30-17:00, and 13:00-21:30.
• Call required 1 day per week and parts of 2 weekends in a 6-week schedule.

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Qualifications

• Current or temporary RN license in North Dakota or compact RN licensure.
• BLS certification required within orientation period.
• CNOR certification preferred but not required for RN Circulator role.

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in nursing specialty preferred.
• Level 2 trauma experience preferred (facility is a Level 2 Trauma Center).
• Prior travel experience is required.
• Cerner electronic health record experience required.

Additional Requirements

• Must demonstrate knowledge and skill in asepsis and infection control.
• Ability to function effectively and harmoniously as a team member.
• Must be efficient and able to make appropriate judgments.
• Must comply with a 50-mile radius rule for travel.

This position is ideal for experienced OR nurses with prior travel experience looking for a short-term contract in a Level 2 Trauma Center environment.
