Description

Job Opportunity: Interventional Radiology (IR) Specialist

Specialty: Interventional Radiology (IR) within Cardiology

Employment Type: Contractor

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Perform IR procedures including:
- Thoracentesis
- Paracentesis
- Embolization (Uterine Fibroid Embolization - UFE)
- IVC filter placement
- SVC repair
- Line placement (PICC, various central lines)
- Assist with CT biopsies
- Fistulas
- Needle aspirations
- Shock wave lithotripsy
- Some vascular cases
Procedural scrubs provided by the facility
Free parking on site

Requirements

Minimum 2 years of Interventional Radiology experience
Active Illinois medical license (IEMA)
Active BLS (AHA) certification
Active ARRT (CT) certification
Strong communication skills, especially with physicians
Knowledgeable in aseptic technique and radiation safety
Ability to anticipate physician’s needs and work well in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications

RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) certification
CBT (Cardiovascular Board of Technology) certification
