Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)
Location: Washington, District of Columbia

Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Position: Small Bowel Transplant RN
- Shift: Monday to Friday, 5 days a week, 8-hour shifts (08:30 AM - 05:00 PM)
- No on-call or weekend requirements
- No float requirements
- Local rate within 60 miles of facility
Requirements
- Licensure: DC RN license must be in hand at time of application (pending licenses not accepted)
- Certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support) required (AHA or ARC)
- Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of experience required
- Outpatient and clinic experience required
- Adult IV start experience required
- Transplant experience highly preferred
- Vaccinations:
- Flu vaccination required (facility policy)
Additional Requirements & Compliance
- Criminal background check within 90 days, including all locations lived/worked/schooled in past 7 years
- Education verification for highest degree required by position
- Drug screen within 90 days of start (excluding marijuana), updated annually
- Physical exam confirming ability to work without accommodations and free from communicable disease
- Immunizations and health documentation required:
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within last year (or as per history)
- Tdap vaccine within last 10 years preferred
- Documentation of MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) and Varicella immunity or vaccination
- Hepatitis B titer, series, or signed declination
- Annual N95 fit test (client may complete on-site if needed)
- Flu seasonal vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required for flu season (Sept-Mar)
Competencies & Exams
- Medication/Pharmacology competency exam (must score 80% or higher) within 3 years of start
- Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam required for certain units (not specifically stated for this role)
- Other certifications such as ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC, EFM may be required based on unit description
Work History & References
- Two positive supervisory references required, including one from the most recent assignment
- Must support at least 2 years of experience within the last 3 years
- Complete 7 years of work history with no gaps, including education and license information
- For travel contracts, at least 1 prior travel assignment or 1 month of per diem assignment required
