Description

Job Opportunity: Endoscopy Technician (Nursing)

Location: Glenwood Springs, Colorado
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Description

  • Assist nursing staff and physicians during endoscopic procedures, including polypectomy, biopsies, screening exams, ERCP, and dilations.
  • Disinfect and process endoscopic equipment; troubleshoot equipment issues.
  • Set up procedure rooms and stock with necessary supplies and equipment.
  • Transport patients as needed.
  • Assist patients with dressing and ambulation as directed by nursing staff.
  • Apply EKG monitors, blood pressure cuffs, and pulse oximetry prior to procedures.

Shifts

  • 4 shifts per week, each 10 hours long, with rotating on-call duties.

Required Certifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
  • Registered with DORA as a Colorado Surgical Tech (required).
  • Flu vaccine required.

Preferred Certifications

  • Society of Gastroenterology Nurses and Associates (SGNA) Associates or Advanced Associates Program.
  • IAHCSMM Certified Endoscope Reprocessor (CER) Certification.

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of endoscopy experience required.
  • Advanced case endoscopy experience required due to the complexity of cases handled.
  • Prior travel experience is required.

Additional Information

  • Traveler’s permanent address must be at least 75 miles away from the facility.
