Job Opportunity: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics (Travel/Contract)
Location: Cleveland, Ohio
Contract Length: 12 weeks
Position Details
- Accepting CRT or RRT credentials
- Must have 2 years of experience as an RRT (higher experience requirement confirmed)
- Must hold an Ohio RRT license at time of submission
- NBRC and BLS certifications required and must be current at time of submission
- Work schedule: 8 or 12 week contracts, weekends as needed, may float within respiratory facilities
- Locals accepted at the same rate
Required Certifications & Licenses
- Ohio RRT License (mandatory)
- NBRC Certification (for CRT and RRT candidates)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) – AHA only; AHA RQI certs acceptable but non-RQI preferred
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – Required for RRTs working in Emergency Department
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) – Required for RRT-NICU (pediatric specialty)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) – Required for RRT-NICU
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an RRT
- At least 2 years of clinical practice in an acute care setting in a similar area to the assignment required in work history
- No explicit prior travel experience required
Compliance & Background Checks
- Criminal background check required prior to start; must be updated if break in service exceeds 2 months
- FBI and BCI fingerprinting required within 12 months of start; must be completed before onboarding
- Monthly EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required
- Transcript/Diploma verification required
- I9/E-Verify attestation required
Health & Safety Requirements
- Pre-employment physical exam within 1 year of start, confirming ability to safely perform job functions
- Fit mask test within 12 months of start; must be updated annually (specific approved mask types required)
- Negative 2-step PPD or Quantiferon Gold TB test/T-Spot within 6 months of start; annual renewal required
- Chest X-ray required if history of positive TB test, with physician clearance
- TB questionnaire if history of past positive TB
- Immunization or titer proof required for:
- Rubeola (Measles)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Hepatitis B (or signed declination)
- Varicella
- Negative 10-panel drug screen within 12 months of start; annual renewal required
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Oct 31 - Mar 31); no declinations accepted
Additional Requirements
- Unit-specific competency exam required within 12 months of start; must be updated annually
- Unit-specific skills checklist required; must be updated annually
- Online training modules must be completed prior to start (approx. 4-5 hours) on a computer using Chrome browser
- Candidate must carry a valid government-issued photo ID while on assignment
- Two recent satisfactory pre-employment references required
Notes
- All work history, including any previous positions at this healthcare system, must be included in the candidate profile
- Scheduling and time-off requests must be communicated during submission and interview
- Fingerprinting and badge pickup occur onsite after completion of required modules
- Candidates working with pediatric patients (RRT-NICU) have additional fingerprinting and certification requirements
