Travel RN Opportunity – Operating Room

Location: Charleston, South Carolina
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Overview

• Role: Circulating RN in a general Operating Room (OR)
• Surgical specialties include: Orthopedics (trauma and elective joints/sports medicine), Neurosurgery (complex crani and spine), Plastics, Vascular, Trauma, Robotic OB/GYN, Urology, and Cardio/Thoracic (dedicated staff)
• Advanced circulating skills required: positioning, prepping, and facilitating cases in the above surgical areas
• Equipment used: XI Robot, advanced spine technology, Mako joint robot
• Documentation system: Meditech
• Scheduling: 3 call shifts (12 hours) per 4-week period; days and nights available
• Weekend and holiday rotation expected

Unit & Facility Details

• Unit: Operating Room, 17 beds
• Patient ratio: 1:1
• Staffing: 1 RN and 1 CST per room, turnover staff, 1 charge RN, 4:1 anesthesia coverage
• Night shift coverage: In-house
• Certifications & Accreditations:

  • Total Joint, Heart Center, Level 2 Trauma, Stroke, Cardiac Center recognition
  • Facility recognized as a Level II Trauma Center with multiple specialty accreditations
• Dress code: Hospital-provided scrubs

Requirements

• Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN) – Operating Room
• Required years of experience: 2 years in specialty
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, RN license
• Prior travel experience: Not explicitly required
