Travel RN Opportunity - Nashville, Tennessee

Position Details

• Unit Beds: 34
• Patient Ratio: 6:1
• Shift Schedule:

  • 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each
  • 2 weekends (4 shifts) per 4-week schedule
• Floating Policy: Contract labor floats first, rotation used when multiple contract staff are scheduled

Unit Environment & Equipment

• Tech support available on day and night shifts
• Unit secretary available 7 AM - 7 PM
• Equipment includes IV pumps, telemetry, sequential compression devices (SCDs), continuous pulse oximetry, feeding pumps, PCA, EKG machines, bladder scanner, and iMobile communication technology
• Documentation system: Meditech

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license
• BLS certification
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Med/Surg nursing
• Skills required:

  • Med/Surg experience
  • Ability to prioritize care and multitask
  • IV starts
  • Basic wound care
  • Maintenance of surgical drains, nasogastric tubes, and chest tubes

Patient Care Expectations

• Provide attentive and compassionate care to patients and family members
• Conduct bedside shift reports
• Engage patients and families in the plan of care

Dress Code

• Navy scrubs (tops and bottoms)

Contract Length

• 13 weeks
