Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)

Location: Baltimore, Maryland
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Position: IMC Float RN
• Shift Options: 3x12 or 4x12 (1900-0730)
• Float required to Medical-Surgical (MS), Intermediate Care (IMC), MS/Telemetry, and Emergency Department (ED) Boarder as needed
• Responsibilities include caring for ED borders and inpatient units
• Every 3rd weekend required

Required Experience & Skills

• Specialty: Registered Nurse
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• MS/Telemetry and Cardiac Telemetry experience required
• ER holding experience required
• Prior travel experience required (must have completed at least 1 prior travel contract)

Certifications & Exams

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) required
• BLS (Basic Life Support) required (AHA or ARC)
• Candidate must pass the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with:

  • Minimum overall score of 80%
  • 100% score on lethal rhythms section
• CPI & NIHSS certifications preferred

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

• Valid state nursing license required prior to start
• Criminal background check within 90 days, including multi-state searches
• Drug screen within 90 days of start (excluding marijuana), updated annually
• Annual physical exam confirming ability to work without accommodations and free from communicable disease
• Immunizations and health documentation required:

  • Tdap vaccine within 10 years preferred
  • Negative TB test or chest x-ray within required timeframe
  • Documentation of MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccines or positive titers
  • Hepatitis B titer, series, or signed declination
  • Varicella vaccines or positive titer
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption required during flu season
• N95 Fit Test within 9 months of start, updated annually (client may complete onsite if needed)

Competency Exams & Training

• Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (must score 80% or higher) within 3 years of start
• Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam (Relias Dysrhythmia Basics A) required annually with:

  • Overall score of 80% or higher
  • 100% score on lethal rhythms section
• Color Blind Testing (online or in-person) required
• Facility-specific orientation and safety manual acknowledgment required annually
• Completion of facility modules (SITELS) prior to start date

Additional Requirements

• Two positive supervisory references supporting at least 2 years of experience within the last 3 years
• Complete 7 years of work history with no gaps, including education and license information
• Skills checklist required prior to start and updated annually

Summary

This travel Registered Nurse position in Baltimore, MD requires a minimum of 2 years nursing experience with MS/Telemetry, Cardiac Telemetry, and ER holding experience.
