Unit Type: Trauma ICU
Number of Beds: 16
Staffing:
- Day Shift: 1 CNC/Charge RN, 8 RNs, 1 PCT (for census >14)
- Night Shift: 1 CNC/Charge RN, 8 RNs, 1 PCT (for census >14)
- Shift Hours: 12-hour shifts (10:00 AM - 10:00 PM)
Patient Ratio: 1 RN : 2 Patients
Equipment Used: Cardiac Monitoring, Ventilators, IV Pumps, Tube Feed Pumps
Electronic Medical Record (EMR): Meditech

Required Certifications and Licenses

ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
BLS (Basic Life Support)
NIH Certification
Registered Nurse License

Experience Requirements

Minimum 2 years of experience in the specialty (Trauma ICU or related critical care)
Preferred experience with medical ICU and neuro population

Intubations
Central line placement
