Description
Travel RN - Emergency Room
Location: Austin, Texas
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 48 hours per week, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Unit: Emergency Room (48 beds)
Job Description
- Must float to facility Fast-Track Emergency Service Departments (FSEDs) as needed
- Patient ratio: 4:1
- Night shift staffing varies based on volume
- Typical staff on day shift: 1 charge nurse, 3 RNs, 2 CNAs, 1-3 sitters
- Use of all standard emergency equipment
- Electronic Medical Record system: Meditech
Requirements
- Licenses: Registered Nurse License
- Certifications (Required):
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- NIH Certification
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
- Years of Experience: Minimum 1 year in Emergency Room nursing specialty
- Prior Travel Experience: Not specified (assumed not required)
Additional Information
- Dress code: Navy scrubs required
- Permanent positions available on unit
- Preferred certifications (nice to have): ALS, ENPC, CEN, PEN or similar
