Job Opportunity: Interventional Radiology Tech (Travel/Contract)

Job Description

• Perform a variety of technical procedures using ionizing radiation for radiological diagnosis.
• Responsible for designated areas and procedures within the Interventional Radiology Section.
• Must have thrombectomy experience.

Requirements

Licensure & Certification

• Must have a Virginia state license or proof of license application.
• Must have an active license from another state if not yet licensed in Virginia.
• Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• ACLS certification required for Interventional Radiology.
• BLS preferred but not required.
• Other certifications (PALS, NRP, TNCC) may be required depending on unit specifics—confirm with program management.

Experience

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Special Procedures / Interventional Radiology.
• Thrombectomy experience is mandatory.

Immunization & Health Requirements

• COVID-19: Must be fully vaccinated or have a qualified exemption approved per CMS guidelines.

• Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 1 year of start; annual TB questionnaire required.

• Drug screening: Negative 11-panel drug screen within 30 days of start.

Background & Compliance

• 7-year criminal background check within 1 year of start, updated annually.
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start and updated for renewals.

Additional Requirements & Documents

• Facility badge and agency badge must be worn at all times.
• Completion of online and/or onsite orientation modules as required.
• Color blindness testing required prior to start.
• Medication/pharmacology competency exams and other core competency exams as applicable.

Summary

This is a 13-week travel contract for an Interventional Radiology Tech in Arlington, VA.
