Job Opportunity: Respiratory Therapist (Registered Respiratory Therapist - RRT)

Location: Pittsfield, Massachusetts

Position Summary

Seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a temporary assignment. CRTs will not be considered. The facility requires candidates who reside more than 50 miles away from the location.

Requirements

• Licensure & Certification:

  • Current Massachusetts RRT license (must be uploaded with profile)
  • Active RRT Certification through The National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC)
  • Active American Heart Association BLS certification

• Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of current RRT experience (highest required years of experience)
  • Meditech Expanse experience strongly preferred
  • ACLS and PALS certifications preferred

• Other Requirements:

  • Registered Respiratory Therapist skills checklist current to within 1 year
  • One supervisory signed reference from within the past two years of employment
  • Must have own vehicle for the assignment
  • Must provide at least two specific interview dates/times (no "anytime" availability accepted)
  • Must include permanent address and any requested time off (RTO) at profile submission
  • No more than 5 days of requested time off allowed during the assignment
  • No schedule accommodations or block scheduling requests will be approved after profile submission or offer

Additional Notes

• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required.
• CRTs (Certified Respiratory Therapists) will not be considered.
• The facility is a 298-bed teaching hospital with a strong reputation for patient safety and clinical excellence.
• Call/call-back is not applicable to this need.
• Orientation includes 8 hours non-billable time.

Summary

This is a temporary Respiratory Therapist position requiring a minimum of 2 years of RRT experience, current licensure and certifications, and strong availability for interviews. Candidates must be prepared to comply with strict scheduling and time-off policies.
