Job Opportunity: Respiratory Therapist (Registered Respiratory Therapist - RRT)

Location: Tucson, Arizona
Employment Type: Temporary
Shift: Nights


Job Summary

Seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a temporary assignment in Tucson, AZ. The facility is a Level I Trauma Center providing advanced specialty services including heart and cancer care, neuroscience, and multi-organ transplant programs.


Contract Length

  • 13 weeks

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 24 months (2 years) of current experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
  • Prior travel experience required
  • PICU/NICU experience preferred (not mandatory)

Licenses & Certifications (Required)

  • Arizona Respiratory Care Practitioner License
  • Active National Board for Respiratory Care Certification
  • American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS Certification
  • Flu vaccination (declinations accepted with proper documentation)
  • Valid Driver’s License (Note: Candidates with an Arizona driver’s license will not be considered)

Additional Requirements & Notes

  • No license issues or hits at time of submission
  • Must complete specific learning modules prior to assignment start
  • Return to Office (RTO) requests must be less than 7 days, not allowed during the first week or holidays of the assignment
  • Resume must include all facilities worked at, facility size, bed count, trauma level, and units
  • Skills checklist specific to Registered Respiratory Therapist discipline required
  • Background checks and compliance requirements are strict and must be attested to
  • Candidates must be ready to accept and pre-closed for submission
  • All shifts, departments, and locations the candidate is willing to work must be clearly indicated

Important Notes

  • Candidates with an Arizona home address on their driver’s license will not be considered
  • The facility assesses a 2% payment discount fee and a 2% technology fee on all transactions
  • Assignments may be canceled with 7 days written notice without penalty

This position offers the opportunity to work in a high-acuity, Level I Trauma Center environment with a focus on critical care and specialty services.
