Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (RN) - Long Term Care (LTC)
Location: Sault St. Marie, Michigan
Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
The Registered Nurse provides professional and comprehensive nursing care within the scope of agency services, focusing on patients requiring skilled clinical care. Responsibilities include:
- Regularly assessing patient needs and providing skilled nursing services as prescribed by physician orders and nursing standards (20%)
- Initiating and revising plans of care for assigned patients (10%)
- Providing medication management and assessing therapeutic responses (35%)
- Coordinating patient care by evaluating outcomes and providing ongoing feedback to the care team (15%)
- Collaborating with Certified Nurse Aides (CNA) and interdisciplinary team members (15%)
- Notifying physicians of changes in patient condition and obtaining new orders as needed (5%)
Requirements
- Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN) in Long Term Care (LTC)
- Experience: Minimum 2+ years of Long Term Care experience required
- Licensure: Active Michigan RN license (LARA and/or Nursys verification required)
- Certifications: Current American Heart Association BLS certification required
- References: 2 supervisory reference forms completed within the last two years
- Skills Documentation: Skills checklist relevant to LTC, current within 1 year
- Scheduling: All scheduling requests must be made at the time of application; no special scheduling requests will be approved after offer
- Location Restriction: Candidates must be outside a 100-mile radius of the facility (local candidates will not be considered)
