Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (RN) - Operating Room (OR) (Days)

Job Description

Seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse with proficiency across multiple specialties and technologies.

Required Experience & Skills:

• Minimum 24 months (2 years) of operating room experience in a hospital or medical center setting.
• Experience and proficiency in the following specialties:

  • Orthopedics (ortho)
  • Neurology (neuro)
  • General surgery
  • Gynecology (GYN)
  • Urology
  • Podiatry
• Experience and proficiency in operating DaVinci robotic surgical systems.
• Active Iowa RN license or compact/multistate license at time of submission.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) ACLS certification.
• Current AHA or ARC BLS certification.
• Must have at least 3 months of recent travel nursing experience within the last 18 months (prior travel experience required).
• Work history/resume must clearly document 24 months of current operating room experience.
• Skills checklist specific to Operating Room Nurse discipline required.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• EPIC charting experience (training available if needed).
• Scrub experience.
• Professional references or performance evaluations within the last 24 months preferred.

Additional Information

• Work schedule: 36-40 hours per week, with overtime billable after 40 hours.
• Orientation dates are firm.
• Minimum 50-mile radius rule (no local candidates).
• Unit bed size: 9 beds.

This position is ideal for an experienced OR nurse with a strong background in multiple surgical specialties and prior travel nursing experience.
