Job Opportunity: Cardiovascular Radiologic Technologist (Travel/Contract)

Job Summary

• Assist physicians in diagnosis and treatment of heart, lung, and blood vessel disorders.
• Conduct invasive and non-invasive diagnostic tests of cardiovascular and pulmonary systems.
• Operate x-ray and physiological equipment.
• Assist with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
• Maintain equipment and record test results.

Required Experience & Education

• Must have Cardiovascular Radiologic Technologist experience.
• Preferred: 1 year of catheterization experience.
• Education: Associate’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience.

Licenses & Certifications (Required)

• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists – Radiography (ARRT-R)
• Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI) Radiologic Technologist License (required in OR)
• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification

Essential Functions

• Assist physicians during procedures and operate special procedure equipment.
• Monitor and evaluate patient vital signs throughout procedures.
• Ensure patient protection according to radiation safety standards.
• Maintain sterile techniques and follow infection control procedures.
• Operate and maintain cardiac catheterization equipment (C-Arm, angiographic injectors, patient monitoring).
• Assist during catheterization, filming, and patient monitoring.
• Complete documentation related to special procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness and stock of procedure areas and equipment.

Required Background & Health Checks

• Background check covering the last 7 years.
• Drug testing within 30 days before start.
• Physical exam within 90 days of start.
• Immunizations and health documents including:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years or positive titer)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray (updated annually)
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Hepatitis B titers or vaccinations (or declinations)
  • Flu seasonal vaccination or approved exemption (state-specific requirements apply)
  • COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption (medical or religious)

Additional Requirements

• Current picture identification (Driver’s License or State ID).
• Completion of facility-specific orientation and competency exams.
• Completion of Core RN Skills modules via Healthstream at orientation.
• Compliance with facility-specific policies including confidentiality agreements and contractor compliance education.
• Two clinical references verified within one year of start.
• Complete application/resume with 7-year work history including gaps.
• Unit-specific skills checklist required.

Prior Travel Experience
