Job Opportunity: Cardiovascular Radiologic Technologist (Travel/Contract)
Location: Portland, Oregon

Job Summary
- Assist physicians in diagnosis and treatment of heart, lung, and blood vessel disorders.
- Conduct invasive and non-invasive diagnostic tests of cardiovascular and pulmonary systems.
- Operate x-ray and physiological equipment.
- Assist with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
- Maintain equipment and record test results.
Required Experience & Education
- Must have Cardiovascular Radiologic Technologist experience.
- Preferred: 1 year of catheterization experience.
- Education: Associate’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
Licenses & Certifications (Required)
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists – Radiography (ARRT-R)
- Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI) Radiologic Technologist License (required in OR)
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
Essential Functions
- Assist physicians during procedures and operate special procedure equipment.
- Monitor and evaluate patient vital signs throughout procedures.
- Ensure patient protection according to radiation safety standards.
- Maintain sterile techniques and follow infection control procedures.
- Operate and maintain cardiac catheterization equipment (C-Arm, angiographic injectors, patient monitoring).
- Assist during catheterization, filming, and patient monitoring.
- Complete documentation related to special procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness and stock of procedure areas and equipment.
Required Background & Health Checks
- Background check covering the last 7 years.
- Drug testing within 30 days before start.
- Physical exam within 90 days of start.
- Immunizations and health documents including:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years or positive titer)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray (updated annually)
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Hepatitis B titers or vaccinations (or declinations)
- Flu seasonal vaccination or approved exemption (state-specific requirements apply)
- COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption (medical or religious)
Additional Requirements
- Current picture identification (Driver’s License or State ID).
- Completion of facility-specific orientation and competency exams.
- Completion of Core RN Skills modules via Healthstream at orientation.
- Compliance with facility-specific policies including confidentiality agreements and contractor compliance education.
- Two clinical references verified within one year of start.
- Complete application/resume with 7-year work history including gaps.
- Unit-specific skills checklist required.
Prior Travel Experience
