Description

Job Opportunity: PACU Registered Nurse (RN)

Location: Gunnison, Colorado
Employment Type: Contract


Job Description

  • Serve as a professional member of the surgical team within the Surgical Services Department.
  • Provide patient care during pre-operative and post-operative phases.
  • Monitor physiological patient responses throughout all phases of surgical care.
  • Maintain proficiency in planning, organizing, directing, executing, and evaluating patient care.
  • Complete required training, education, and orientation on new procedures and processes.
  • Adhere to current nursing practice standards, professional guidelines, and relevant regulations.

Work Schedule

  • Three to four 10-hour shifts per week.
  • On-call responsibilities: 1-2 days per week.
  • Weekend call: 1 weekend every 4 weeks.

Contract Length

  • 13 weeks

Required Certifications

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
  • BLS/BCLS (Basic Life Support)
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of nursing experience.

Additional Information

  • Colorado Adult Protective Services (CAPS) check required.
  • Reliable transportation is necessary due to lack of public transportation in the rural area.
