Description

Job Opportunity: Respiratory Therapy Specialist

Employment Type: Contractor
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Required Experience and Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of experience with full lifespan patient care (pediatrics, adults, geriatrics)
Active Illinois nursing license
Current certifications: BLS, ACLS (AHA), PALS, NRP, and RRT (CRT also accepted)
EPIC electronic health record experience

Technical Skills

Proficient in tracheostomy care, nitrous oxide procedures, proning techniques
Experience with ECMO and critical care
Knowledge of ventilator-associated pneumonia prevention and spontaneous breathing trials
Skilled in arterial blood gas (ABG) draws

Additional Information

1:1 patient ratios
Specific uniform requirement: charcoal gray scrubs
Facility offers free parking

This position is suitable for respiratory therapists with critical care experience and the required certifications, looking for a contract role of approximately 3 months.
