Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - PCU Nights

Location: Albuquerque, New Mexico

Job Details

• Unit: Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Nights
• Shift Options: 36 or 48 hours per week
• Patient Ratios: 1:4
• Weekend Requirement: As needed, rotating
• Float Requirement: Yes
• On Call Requirement: None
• Block Scheduling: Case by case
• Unit Size: 55 beds
• Specialty Experience: Cardiovascular experience required
• Years of Experience Required: 2 years preferred (will consider 1+ years)
• Prior Travel Experience: Not required; first-time travelers accepted
• Documentation System: EPIC
• Scrub Color: Any (no logo)

Certifications Required

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
• CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) preferred
• PALS, NRP, CHEMO, TNCC, MAB, NIH Stroke Certification as applicable

Licensure & Verification

• Primary source online license verification required
• NURSYS verification required for RN license

Compliance & Background Checks

• 7-year background check within 1 year of start, updated annually
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required upon hire
• Education verification required (transcript/diploma accepted as placeholder if needed)
• Fingerprinting required onsite during orientation (New Mexico placements only)

Health & Immunization Requirements

• Physical exam within 12 months of start
• Fit mask test within 1 year of start, renewed annually
• Adult TDAP vaccine within 10 years
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
• Required immunizations or positive titers for:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B
  • Varicella
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start
• Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31)
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required

• Completion of unit-specific skills checklist annually
• 7-year work history verification
• Complete application/resume required

Notes

• Prior travel experience is not required; first-time travelers are accepted.
• Cardiovascular experience is mandatory for this PCU role.
• Rotating weekend shifts and float assignments are part of the job.
• Fingerprinting must be completed onsite during orientation for New Mexico placements.
• Compliance with all health, immunization, and background check requirements is mandatory for hire.
