Job Opportunity: RN - Cardiac Cath Lab (Travel Assignment)

Unit Overview

• Unit: Cardiac Cath Lab
• Beds: 3 labs
• Patient Ratio: 3:1
• Equipment: GE lab, Impella, Balloon pump, Penumbra, IVUS
• Documentation System: Merge Hemo documentation
• Scheduling: 4 ten-hour shifts with rotating call
• Floating Policy: May cover nearby sister hospital for STEMI call

Required Qualifications

• Licenses: Registered Nurse License
• Certifications:

  • RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) (Required)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of Cardiac Cath Lab experience required
• Advanced Skills: Electrophysiology (EP) experience preferred

Procedures Performed

• Right and Left heart catheterization (diagnostic and interventional)
• Peripheral diagnostic and interventional procedures

Additional Information

• Provided OR scrubs as uniform
• Call and STEMI policies in place
• May require floating to cover STEMI calls at a nearby hospital

Contract Length

• 13 weeks (approximately 3 months)

Summary

This travel RN position in the Cardiac Cath Lab requires a minimum of 2 years of lab experience, RCIS certification, and ACLS/BLS certifications. The role involves working with advanced cardiac equipment and performing a variety of diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures. The schedule includes four 10-hour shifts with rotating call and potential floating to a sister hospital for STEMI coverage.
