Job Opportunity: Physical Therapist (PT) - Outpatient

Location: International Falls, Minnesota
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Overview

• Specialty: Acute Care Physical Therapy

  • 80-90% general outpatient PT
  • 10-20% inpatient/swing bed
• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (No weekends)
• Average Patients per Day: 10-13
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 per week
• EMR System: EPIC
• Dress Code: Business Casual
• Flexibility: Traveler expected to be flexible with territory

Qualifications & Requirements

Licensure & Certifications

• Must have Minnesota Physical Therapist License in hand at time of submission (pending license may be considered)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required (within one year of hire)
• Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy or certificate from an accredited Physical Therapy program
• Current CPR documentation
• ACLS and PALS certifications preferred (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)

Experience

• Minimum 1 year of Physical Therapy experience in outpatient and inpatient settings
• First-time travelers accepted
• Prior travel experience not required

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

• All required documents must be submitted before starting (compliance process may take 2-3 weeks)
• Required documents include but are not limited to:

  • Government issued photo ID (Driver’s License/State ID)
  • Emergency Contact Form
  • Background checks (SS Trace, County searches, Nationwide, Sex Offender, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG)
  • Health documents: Physical exam, Negative TB or Chest X-Ray, Immunizations (Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella), Drug Testing, Flu Vaccination or Declination during flu season
  • Skills checklist and competency exams as applicable
  • References: 2 professional references for travel/allied/per diem acute care
