Job Opportunity: Pharmacist - Retail

Location: Nantucket, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: Approximately 25 weeks

Job Details

• Shifts scheduled between 8:30 AM – 7:00 PM
• Weekend work required
• Massachusetts Pharmacy license required (MA Conditional Licenses not accepted)
• Shared housing provided at no cost

Licensure & Certifications

• Must have a valid MA Pharmacy license (primary source verification required within 30 days of start)
• FEMA ICS 100 Training must be completed (no exceptions)
• Required health and immunization documentation including:

  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or proof of immunity
  • Influenza vaccine during flu season (Sept 15 - April 30) with no exemptions
  • TB test within 3 months of start date (skin test or blood test)
  • Health statement signed by MD/DO/NP/PA within 365 days of start date
  • Hepatitis B vaccination strongly preferred or proof of immunity/declination
  • Tdap vaccine preferred (within 10 years)

Background & Compliance Checks

• Criminal background check within 45 days prior to start, including Massachusetts CORI
• National sex offender registry check within 30 days of start and annually
• Exclusion checks against OIG, GSA, MassHealth, and NH Medicaid lists within 30 days of start and annually
• Social Security Number trace and education verification required
• Resume including past 7 years of work experience with city and state required
• Two recent professional references required (minimum one supervisor or above)

• Respirator Medical Clearance Attestation if fit testing is required for the role
• Confirmation of Assignment/POI form required upon acceptance and for extensions
• MGB Skills Checklist required for submission

Requirements/Qualifications

• Valid Pharmacist license in Massachusetts
• Minimum of 1 year of pharmacist experience
• Pharmacist experience within the last year

Summary

This is a long-term retail pharmacist position in Nantucket, MA requiring a valid MA Pharmacy license and compliance with extensive health, background, and credential verification protocols. Weekend availability and shifts extending into the evening are required. Shared housing is provided at no cost. Prior travel experience is not required.
