Job Opportunity: Cardiac Cath Lab Tech

Location: El Paso, Texas

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

Seeking a Cardiac Cath Lab Tech for a 13-week travel assignment. Standard shift hours are 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with some variation based on operational needs (possible shifts 10:00 AM–6:00 PM or 8:00 AM–4:00 PM). On-call and weekend call responsibilities are required.

Unit Information

• Unit: Cardiac Cath Lab
• Beds: 3 Cardiac Cath Labs, 1 EP Lab, 1 Hybrid Lab
• Staff: 1 Charge RN, 3 CVTs, 3 RNs
• Patient Ratio: 1:1
• EMR System: Meditech
• Dress Code: Royal blue scrubs required

Required Qualifications

• Certifications:

  • ACLS
  • BLS
  • Cath Lab Tech Certification
• Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience as a Cardiac Cath Lab Tech (Cath and EP experience required)
• Skills:

  • Cath Lab experience is mandatory
  • Experience with electrophysiology (EP) procedures preferred
• Typical Procedures:

  • Cardiac diagnostics
  • Percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI)
  • Impella device support
  • Peripheral vascular angiogram/angioplasty
  • Electrophysiology studies
  • Intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP)
  • Thrombectomy
  • Device implants
