Location: Warrensville Heights, Ohio

Job Summary
Seeking a Registered Nurse for a Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit. This is a travel/contract position requiring compliance with specific credentialing, certifications, and health requirements.
Required Experience
- Specialty: Registered Nurse
- Minimum Years of Experience: 2 years of clinical practice in an acute care setting in a similar area to the pending assignment.
Certifications Required
- BLS (Basic Life Support): AHA or American Red Cross; RQI acceptable. Must be current at start.
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support): Required for MS/Tele and many other units. Must be current at start.
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support): Preferred but not required for MS/Tele.
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program): Not required for MS/Tele.
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course): Preferred but not required.
- State Nursing License: Primary source verification within 30 days of start. License must be valid at start.
- NURSYS Verification: Required within 30 days of start.
- NIH Stroke Certification: Preferred but not required for MS/Tele.
- Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement: Required annually.
- Acknowledgement of Pass/Fail Testing: Required for all nursing positions except OR.
- Tech Cert Verification: Not applicable for MS/Tele.
- Competency Exams: Unit-specific competency exam required within 12 months of start and updated annually.
- Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam: Required as applicable.
Health and Immunization Requirements
- Physical Exam: Required within 1 year of start, including Snellen eye exam.
- Fit Mask (N95): Required within 12 months of start and updated annually.
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap: Vaccine required every 10 years.
- Negative TB Test or Chest X-Ray: Within 12 months of start, updated annually.
- TB Questionnaire: Required annually if history of positive TB.
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella): 2 vaccines or positive titer required; boosters if titers are negative/equivocal.
- Hepatitis B: Titer, series, or declination required.
- Varicella: 2 vaccines or positive titer required; booster if negative/equivocal.
- Drug Testing: Standard 10-panel drug screen within 12 months of start, updated annually.
- Flu Vaccine: Required during flu season (10/31 - 03/31) or approved medical/religious exemption.
Background and Compliance Checks
- Government-issued photo ID required and must be carried on assignment.
- Background check required prior to start and updated annually.
- Monthly EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required.
- FBI and BCI fingerprinting required within 12 months of start and updated annually.
- Education verification required for all candidates.
- Ohio-specific BCI/FBI fingerprint attestation required.
Additional Requirements
- References: Two professional references from employment within the past year (manager, supervisor, charge nurse, or director).
- Employment Application: Must include 3 years prior work history with at least 2 years clinical practice in acute care.
