Job Opportunity: Med Surg, Med Surg/Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN)

Location: Rock Island, Illinois
Employment Type: Temporary (Travel Contract)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Provide professional and clinical nursing care as part of an interdisciplinary team.
• May be required to float within the same discipline across local campuses, including Stepdown/Telemetry units.
• Patient ratio approximately 1:5-6.

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of Med Surg nursing experience required.
• Stepdown/Cardiac experience preferred (due to floating to Stepdown unit as needed).
• First-time travelers are accepted (no prior travel experience required).

Certifications & Licenses

• ACLS (AHA) required.
• BLS (AHA) required.
• Illinois RN license must be active at time of submission.
• Iowa RN license also required; if not active, proof of application for IA single state or compact RN license must be provided.
• Compact license allowed.

Additional Requirements

• Must have a valid Driver’s License.
• Skills checklist completed within 1 year of submission required.
• Work history/resume required.
• License verification and copies of required certifications required.
• One supervisory reference required at time of submission.
• Must have a taxable address outside of 50 miles from the facility.

Orientation

• Orientation dates available regularly throughout the year.

Systems & Work Conditions

• EMR system: EPIC
• Typical workweek: 36-40 hours, with overtime billable after 40 hours.
• May include holiday and on-call shifts.

This position is ideal for RNs with Med Surg experience looking for a travel assignment in Illinois with opportunities to work in Stepdown/Telemetry units.
