Job Opportunity: Rehabilitation Therapy - Acute/Inpatient Physical Therapist
Location: Hilo, Hawaii
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 26 weeks (approximately 6 months)
Job Description
- Primary focus on acute inpatient rehabilitation therapy with secondary coverage in ICF/SNF rehab settings.
- Responsibilities include evaluating and re-evaluating assigned residents/patients, planning and implementing ongoing therapeutic physical therapy programs as prescribed by attending physicians or consulting specialists.
- Provide consulting physical therapy services as needed.
- Must be available to work shifts, weekends, and holidays based on hospital operations.
- Work schedule is variable and may include:
- Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
- Tuesday to Saturday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
- Sunday to Thursday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
- Use of EMR system: Meditech.
Requirements
- Licensure: Must have an active Hawaii state license by the start of the assignment. Travelers without an active license must apply immediately upon acceptance of the offer.
- Experience: Minimum of 6 months work experience in at least one of the following adult care settings:
- Acute care
- Rehabilitation hospital
- Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF)
- Certifications: BLS/BCLS required.
- Additional Notes:
- Must arrive the Thursday before the start date to attend an employee health appointment on Friday.
- Do not accept the start date if unable to arrive on time.
