Job Opportunity: Med Surg Registered Nurse (RN)
Location: Phoenix, Arizona
Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
Seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) with Med Surg specialty for a temporary assignment in Phoenix, AZ. The facility is a nationally recognized academic medical center and Level I Trauma Center, known for advanced specialty care including geriatrics, nephrology, urology, high-risk obstetrics, advanced heart care, organ transplantation, orthopedics, and rehabilitation.
Requirements
Experience
- Minimum of 24 months (2 years) of current Med Surg experience (required)
- Prior travel experience is preferred but not required
Licenses & Certifications
- Active Arizona RN license or Compact license (must be active at time of submission)
- American Heart Association ACLS certification (required)
- American Heart Association BLS certification (required)
- Must have a valid Driver’s License (candidates with an Arizona driver’s license will not be considered)
Compliance & Background
- Nursys license verification must show no hits at time of submission
- Must adhere to specific background requirements as per facility compliance
- Flu vaccination required (declinations can be applied for; vaccination status must be noted)
Other Requirements
- Return to Office (RTO) requests will not be approved within the first week or on holidays and cannot exceed 7 days
- Resume must include all facilities worked at, facility size, bed count, trauma level, and units
- Skills checklist specific to Med Surg discipline must be completed
- Fully completed facility-specific cover page required
Additional Information
- Start date should be on or very soon after the order start date
- Candidates must be ready to accept the assignment upon submission
- The facility requires completion of learning modules prior to assignment start
- Non-billable hours are adjusted to 16 hours per assignment
- Assignments may be canceled with 7 days written notice without penalty
