Job Summary
The RN provides clinical leadership to ensure the mission, vision, and values of the organization are supported through clinical services. Responsibilities include planning, organizing, directing, and facilitating clinical operations to ensure regulatory compliance, promote person-centered care, and support individual and team learning. The RN conducts professional nursing assessments and coordinates resident care with other nursing staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership to clinical staff on areas such as infection control, safety, wound management, and RAI process.
- Implement clinical policies and procedures to ensure safe, sanitary, and efficient nursing practices.
- Ensure compliance with documentation, medication administration, resident care, safety, sanitation, staff development, and quality care standards.
- Support organizational fiscal viability through efficient use of resources and maintaining appropriate staffing patterns.
- Foster collaboration and problem-solving within the household clinical staff.
- Maintain professional relationships with physicians, medical professionals, and other departments.
- Demonstrate dementia sensitivity by nurturing care practices that promote individualized, person-centered care and well-being for persons with dementia.
Required Certifications and Experience
- NRP Certification
- Completed Intermediate Fetal Monitoring class
- ACLS Certified
- BLS Certified
- Experience in Labor, Delivery, and Postpartum
- Minimum 1 year experience in Med/Surg nursing
Additional Notes
- The role requires leadership and clinical expertise in an acute care setting with a focus on regulatory compliance and quality resident care.
- Dementia care sensitivity is essential.
