Job Opportunity: Radiation Therapist

Location: Milford, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 12 weeks

Qualifications & Requirements

Education

• Associate's Degree in Radiation Therapy required
• Bachelor's Degree in Radiation Therapy preferred
• Experience cannot substitute for degree

Licenses & Certifications

• Radiation Therapist State License (required)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification (preferred)
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-T) certification preferred

Experience

• Minimum 1 year of continuous clinical experience in Radiation Therapy
• No prior travel experience explicitly required

Skills & Abilities

• Proficient knowledge of equipment operation, tools, and procedures specific to Radiation Therapy
• Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively
• Strong interpersonal skills to work with physicians, management, peers, patients, and families
• Excellent customer service skills with good judgment and independent problem-solving
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential patient information
• Proficiency in Radiation Oncology Information Systems and Hospital Information Systems such as ARIA, EPIC, ExacTrac, Eclipse

Health & Compliance Requirements

• N95 fit test within 365 days of start date, updated annually
• Documentation of MMR vaccination or immunity
• Influenza vaccine required during flu season (Sept 15 - April 30) with no exemptions
• TB screening within 3 months of start date (skin test or blood test) and updated if >6 month break
• Physician health statement within 365 days of start date, updated if >6 month break
• Documentation of two measles, two mumps, and one rubella vaccine or two MMR vaccines, or proof of immunity
• Hepatitis B vaccination or immunity preferred
• Tdap vaccine preferred within last 10 years
• Criminal background checks, CORI, SSN trace, sex offender registry, and exclusion checks required
• Respirator Medical Clearance attestation required if fit test is required
