Job Opportunity: Electrophysiology Technician

Location: Stuart, Florida

Specialty

• Radiology / Cardiology
• Minimum 2 years of Electrophysiology (EP) lab experience required
• Experience in Cath, IR, and EP preferred
• First-time travelers accepted

Certifications Required

• RCVT preferred
• RCIS preferred (in addition to required certifications)
• ACLS (AHA or Red Cross)
• BLS (AHA or Red Cross)
• National certification verification required within 30 days of start
• State license verification required within 30 days of start (ARRT and FL Radiographer License for IR Techs)

Work Schedule & Requirements

• On-call required
• Floating within scope to all 3 nearby hospitals (within 20 miles)
• No block scheduling accommodation
• Locals accepted at same rate
• Pending license accepted
• Guaranteed hours: 36 hours for 3x12 shifts or 40 hours for 8/10 shifts
• Time-sensitive online training modules must be prioritized and completed before start
• Smoke-free facility: all travelers must be nicotine-free (negative 10 panel drug screen including nicotine required)

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

• Proof of I9 or attestation
• Government-issued photo ID required during hours of service
• E-Verify proof or attestation
• Background checks including 7-year criminal check, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG
• Florida AHCA Level II fingerprinting required prior to start (Livescan accepted nationwide)
• Physical exam within 6 months of start
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year, updated annually
• Required immunizations/vaccinations or titers: Rubeola, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella
• Negative 10 panel drug screen including nicotine within 1 year of start
• Seasonal flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions allowed)
• COVID vaccination series or approved medical/religious exemption required
• Two professional references within 2 years required for travel positions
• Employment application and skills checklist required
• Performance evaluation required if worked with the system over 1 year

Training & Orientation

• Online training modules must be completed by due date (cannot be completed on phone; must use Google Chrome on a computer)
• Modules include COVID documentation submission
• Candidates with a break of more than 6 months between assignments at this system must re-orient
• Pass/fail testing (EKG/Pharmacology) required for RNs/LPNs during orientation (not applicable here)

This position is ideal for experienced Electrophysiology Technicians with at least 2 years of EP lab experience, who are comfortable with on-call duties and floating within a multi-hospital system.
