Location: Cleveland, Ohio

Job Description
- Provide Respiratory Therapy services in NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit) and PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit) settings.
Required Experience
- Specialty: Respiratory Therapy (RRT-NICU)
- Years of Experience: Not explicitly stated; assume minimum 2 years clinical practice in acute care setting based on application requirements.

Certifications & Licenses
- Current NBRC credential (CRT or RRT) required.
- Ohio RRT License required.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA only, required for all candidates.

- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) - AHA only, required for RRT-NICU.
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) - AHA/AAP only, required for RRT-NICU.
Compliance & Background Checks
- Valid government-issued photo ID required during assignment.
- Criminal background check (FCRA compliant 7-year search) required prior to start; must be updated if break in service ≥ 2 months.
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required monthly on the 15th.
- FBI and BCI fingerprinting required within 12 months of start; must be completed ASAP (results can take up to 30 days). Fingerprints cannot pend at start.
- Ohio BCI/FBI fingerprint attestation required.
Health & Safety Requirements
- Pre-employment physical exam within 1 year of start, confirming ability to safely perform job functions.
- Fit mask test within 12 months of start; must be updated annually. Specific approved masks listed; onsite testing not accepted.
- Negative 2-step PPD or Quantiferon Gold TB test/T-Spot within 6 months of start; renewed annually. For past positive TB tests, chest x-ray and annual TB symptom assessment required.
- TB questionnaire if history of past positive TB.
- Immunizations or titers required for:
- Rubeola (Measles)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Hepatitis B (titer, vaccine series, or signed declination)
- Varicella
- Negative 10-panel drug screen within 12 months of start; updated annually. Dilute results allowed one retest; instant drug screens not accepted.
- Seasonal flu vaccination or medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Oct 31 - Mar 31); no declinations accepted.
Onboarding & Training
- Completion of facility-specific online training modules (4-5 hours) required prior to start; must be completed on a computer using Chrome browser.
- Modules include watching training videos before tests; skipping videos locks candidate out.
- HIPAA acknowledgment form required and must be updated annually.
- Unit-specific competency exam required within 12 months of start; updated annually.
- Unit-specific skills checklist required; updated annually.
- Two recent satisfactory pre-employment references required.
- Employment application must include 3 years prior work history, with at least 2 years clinical practice in acute care and similar area to assignment.
- Photo for badge required prior to start. Badge must be obtained from facility after completing modules.
Notes
- Candidates working with pediatric patients (RRT-NICU) will complete fingerprinting onsite as part of onboarding.
- TB testing and flu vaccination requirements may be re-evaluated annually during Silkroad renewal events.
- PAPRs are not approved for mask fit failures due to facial hair; candidates must shave or submit exemption requests.
