Job Opportunity: Speech Language Pathologist (Pediatrics) - Travel/Contract

Location: Willmar, Minnesota

Job Description

  • Position for a Speech Language Pathologist in a pediatric outpatient setting.
  • Work schedule: Monday - Thursday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM; Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM.
  • 5 days per week, 8 hours per day.
  • Must live at least 25 miles from the facility.
  • If called off by the facility, guaranteed contracted hours will still be paid.

Experience & Licensing Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a Speech Language Pathologist.
  • SLP license required in the state of Minnesota.
  • No explicit requirement for prior travel experience.

Background & Compliance Requirements

  • Criminal background check required within one year of start, including:
    • 7-year search, SS trace, counties, sex offender, nationwide.
    • International searches if candidate has lived/worked outside the US.
  • GSA/SAM and OIG excluded provider checks required.
  • Education verification required (diploma acceptable in lieu of third-party verification).
  • Minnesota DHS NetStudy Fingerprint clearance required before start; candidates cannot start with fingerprints pending unless approved with a “more time needed” letter.
  • Physical exam within 1 year of start required.
  • Drug testing (9 panel) required within 1 year of start.
  • Various immunizations and titers required or accepted:
    • Tdap vaccination (no religious declination accepted).
    • Negative TB test or chest X-ray per Minnesota state guidelines.
    • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) positive titer or 2 vaccines.
    • Varicella positive titer or 2 vaccines.
    • Hepatitis B vaccination, positive titer, or declination.
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or declination required annually (mask required if declined).

Certifications

  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
  • ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC, EFM certifications are not required for this pediatric SLP position.

Additional Requirements

  • Two references from recent employers within the last 2 years.
  • Skills checklist required.
  • Candidate must complete a Minnesota DHS NetStudy Fingerprint Questionnaire immediately after signing the contract.
  • Photo for badge required (grey background, no selfies, JPG format).
  • Dress code must be reviewed prior to start.
  • Education modules will be completed during orientation (average 16 hours).
