Job Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members in patient care
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments following approved nursing techniques, policies, standards of care, and state laws
• Document patient care according to standards
• Perform patient assessments, planning, intervention, and evaluation of care
• Develop, initiate, and execute individualized patient care plans as prescribed by physicians or clinic policy, including patient and family instruction
• Participate in department or unit performance improvement activities, including shared governance
• Provide clinical expertise and guidance to other units/departments to support the patient’s longitudinal plan of care
• Apply critical thinking related to patient safety and experience, escalating issues appropriately
• Engage in professional nursing development, unit practice activities, decision-making, and peer review processes
