Location: Aberdeen, Washington
Employment Type: Travel/Contract (Temp-to-Perm)
Contract Length: 13 weeks (approximately 13 weeks)

Job Description
- Role: Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) / Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in an Oncology outpatient clinic
- Work Schedule: 4-day work week
- This is a local position with a 13-week contract trial period. After successful completion and mutual agreement, the role may convert to permanent staff.
- Candidates must be interested in a temp-to-perm role to be considered.
- Responsibilities include:
- Follow-up phone calls to patients
- Pain assessment and management
- Pharmacy calls and refill requests
- Telephone triage
- Floating: Possible float to a nearby facility (Centralia) in case of call-outs; to be discussed during interview.
- Weekend and on-call shifts are not required.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an LVN/LPN in a relevant specialty (Oncology or similar outpatient setting)
- First-time travelers accepted
- Prior travel experience not explicitly required
Candidate Requirements
- Must be local to the area (locals only)
- Must confirm interest in temp-to-perm role upon application
- Must participate in an on-camera video interview with the manager
Facility & System Information
- Facility Type: Outpatient Oncology Clinic
- Electronic Health Record System: EPIC
Certifications & Licenses Required
- Current LVN/LPN license valid in Washington State
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (if required by clinical track)
- Chemotherapy certification (verify if required)
- Other certifications may be required based on clinical track and facility requirements (e.g., PALS, NRP, IV Certification)
Compliance & Documentation Requirements
- Background Check: Must be completed within 45 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked in the past 7 years, updated annually
- State-specific searches and verifications as required by Washington State law
- Employment Application covering at least the last 5 years
- Minimum of 2 professional references covering 1 year of employment in a comparable specialty/setting within the last 3 years
- Physical Exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO
- Immunizations and health screenings including:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer
- Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination
- Varicella vaccination or positive titer
- Seasonal Flu vaccination or declination (required during flu season)
- COVID-19 vaccination or declination
- Drug Screening: 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start (no instant tests)
- Respirator Safety Clearance (RespSafety) for travel candidates starting on or after 2/5/2024, updated annually
- Fit Mask testing (N95 or equivalent) required for travel candidates starting on or after 2/5/2024, updated annually
Training & Competency Requirements
- Completion of Providence Health and Services required WorkRamp modules, including:
- Annual Regulatory Requirements
- Specialty-specific modules for Oncology and outpatient care
- Facility-specific modules as applicable
- Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam as applicable
- Competency exams and skills checklists updated annually as required
Additional Notes
- This position requires adherence to Providence Health and Services policies including floating policy acknowledgment.
- Badge photo required for facility access.
- Epic training modules must be completed as assigned.
- Candidates must comply with all state and facility-specific background and credentialing requirements.
