Job Opportunity: Interventional Radiology (Radiology / Cardiology)
Location: Greenville, South Carolina
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift Details
- Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday (5x8s)
- Call required
- Float required
- Weekend coverage every 7th weekend
Required Experience & Skills
- Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology (Interventional Radiology)
- Must have experience in Interventional Radiology (IR) and Special Procedures work settings
- Experience with PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System) required
- Must have at least 1 year of EPIC experience (documentation system)
- Required certifications: ARRT (R) and BLS
- Unit will review first-time travelers based on experience level
Certifications & Licenses
- ARRT (R) certification
- BLS (Basic Life Support) – AHA or ARC only, RQI acceptable
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – AHA or ARC only, if required by unit
- Other certifications may be required depending on unit (e.g., PALS, NRP, TNCC, ENPC, CPI, MAB, NIH Stroke Certification, Lactation Certificate for Women’s RN candidates)
- State License: Primary source verification required, must be valid and not expire within 30 days of start
- NURSYS verification required for RN, LPN/LVN, AP licenses
- IV Certification required for LPN/LVN candidates
Systems & Equipment
- Medication Systems: Pyxis & Omnicell
- Documentation System: EPIC (minimum 1 year experience required)
- PACS experience required
Compliance & Background Requirements
- 7-year background check within 12 months of start required
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start and every 30 days thereafter
- Drug screening within 1 year of start, updated annually (5-panel minimum)
- Physical exam within 1 year of start, attesting ability to meet physical demands
- Immunizations and health documents required:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (if working in high-risk areas)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 90 days of start
- Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines required
- Hepatitis B vaccination series, positive titer, or signed declination
- Varicella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines required
- Seasonal Flu vaccination or approved exemption required (not required for 100% remote)
- Respirator Fit Test completed onsite during orientation (N95 masks commonly used)
Training & Testing Requirements
- Online Cornerstone Modules: Approximately 12 hours, must be completed within 72 hours of assignment
- Pass/Fail Testing (Medication and Arrhythmia tests) required for all RN candidates (except prebook or non-clinical)
- EKG exam required for Electrophysiology Techs and Monitor Techs
- Annual competency exams and medication/pharmacology competency exams required
- Core training (Parts I, II, III) including OSHA, patient safety, and ethical care required annually
- Floating Policy acknowledgment required (for clinical candidates)
Additional Notes
- Badge photo required prior to start (passport style, specific background and lighting requirements)
- Candidate must have a valid Driver’s License for computer access setup and while on duty
- Prior travel experience is not explicitly required, but first-time travelers will be reviewed based on experience level
