Description

Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (ER) - Greensboro, North Carolina

Position Details

  • Specialty: Registered Nurse (ER)
  • Location: Greensboro, North Carolina
  • Employment Type: Travel/Contract
  • Contract Length: 13 weeks
  • Shift: Nights, 7 PM - 7 AM, 3x12 hour shifts
  • Schedule Requirements:
    • Every other weekend (at least), more if available
    • Holidays as needed
    • Float required between all campuses

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum Specialty Experience: 2 years (higher value confirmed)
  • Prior Travel Experience: Not required (first-time travelers are welcome)

Unit Description

  • General Emergency Department combining Adult and Pediatric patients
  • Patient ratio: 1:4
  • 18 beds, average daily census of 75
  • Responsibilities include triage, phlebotomy, starting IVs, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
  • Charge RN experience preferred

Certifications Required

  • BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA or ARC
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA or ARC
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) - AHA or ARC
  • Pass/Fail EKG/Dysrhythmia Exam (required for all RNs)
  • TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) preferred but not mandatory

Licensure

  • Valid Registered Nurse license for North Carolina
  • NURSYS verification required within 60 days of start

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

  • Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License/State ID)
  • Social Security Card (for badge issuance)
  • Background check within 60 days covering all locations lived/worked/schooled in the past 7 years
  • Education verification (Associate’s degree in nursing or higher required)
  • Transcript/Diploma as proof of highest education
  • Negative 10-panel drug screen within 40 days of start
  • Immunizations and health documents including:
    • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap
    • Negative TB test or chest X-ray (Qgold/TSPOT within 6 months)
    • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer
    • Hepatitis B titer or declination
    • Varicella vaccination or positive titer
    • Seasonal Flu vaccination or approved exemption
  • Fit mask test (N95) completed within current calendar year and updated annually
  • Physical exam (if applicable)
  • References: 2 supervisory references required from recent assignments (within 12 and 24 months)
  • Employment application/resume with 7-year work history
  • Work history verification for last 5 years

Additional Requirements

  • Candidates must be flexible with scheduling and adhere to a zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences
  • Must complete mandatory Pass/Fail EKG exam prior to start
  • Float between campuses is mandatory for all travelers
  • Candidates must submit a professional badge photo meeting strict facility guidelines (no selfies, solid color background, business casual or uniform attire)
  • Completion of facility-specific documents including health history form, floating policy, contractor equipment acknowledgement, and dress code review
  • Orientation Safety Manual acknowledgement required
