Job Opportunity: CST/ORT - OR (Travel Position)
Location: Aurora, Colorado
Specialty: Cardiovascular Surgery Technician (CST) / Operating Room Technician (ORT)
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Unit Information
- Department: Cardiovascular Surgery (CVOR)
- Shift: Weekday shifts, 7 AM to 5 PM
- Call Requirements: 1 night shift per week (call only)
- Weekends: No weekends required
- Patient Ratio: 1:1
- Team Structure:
- Day Shift: Teams of 3 (2 RNs & 1 CST) per case + 1 emergency standby team
- Night Shift: Teams of 3 (2 RNs & 1 CST) per case (call only)
- Equipment: Stryker, GE
- EMR System: Meditech
Required Qualifications
- Certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- Certified Surgical Technician (CST) Certification
- Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Cardiovascular Surgery (CV Surgery)
- Prior Travel Experience: Not specified (assumed not required)

- Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (CABG)
- Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm (AAA) repair
- Valve Replacement
- Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR)

- The unit supports three campuses with a 15-member cardiovascular team.
